Foundation of the RedStone Estate Equestrian Club / Stigting van die RedStone Estate Perde Klub
On Wednesday 3 June 2009, the Inaugural meeting of the RedStone Estate Equestrian Club was held at the premised of RedStone Private Country Estate in Oberon Road, Broederstroom.
20 Members of the community attended the meeting that was convened after various members of the equestrian community indentified the need to have a club that can arrange events and have facilities with ample outride opportunities. “The ample space at RedStone Estate and the surrounding mountains is ideal for short and full day out rides ”, says Johan Bester convener of the club. “Short rides from the RedStone Stables is very convenient with longer rides in the mountains a must do for any rider in the area.”
“The club will be open to all member of the public and an annual membership fee will be payable, with event fees for every day event”. Various equestrian disciplines will be hosted by the club. The initial events will focus on social out rides in the mountains and streams, followed by specialist events for all types of equestrian enthusiasts. The main focus of the club will however be to promote a social environment where all walks of life can meet around horses and enjoying the tranquil Broederstroom country environment. The club have attracted members from various areas of the equestrian world including breeders, trainers, dedicated sportsmen and women and of course the average rider. When events are held members may make use of their own horses or those stabled at the RedStone Stables.
